電影放映及討論會:工人、勞動尊嚴與藝術創作

20年前堅.盧治執導的電影《麵包與玫瑰》,以貼近寫實的風格,描述外籍清潔工被剝削的困境。電影橫跨種族、邊境、階級不平等及勞工議題,也同時強調每位勞工,即使位於社會最底層,也應要擁有與他人同樣的尊嚴,包括美好的精神生活、理想追求,如電影名字一樣,追求麵包,也要玫瑰。

20年過去,清潔工待遇愈趨惡化,疫情之下的香港,更見制度對清潔工的種種剝削。電影裏的聲勢壯大的組織運動,現今更難發生。
這次放映,我們邀請一向關注勞工議題,並積極以親身參與的方式來介入社會,進行藝術創作的程展緯,於網上映後分享,他所觀察到的清潔工境況,以及在社區如何集結力量,為他們爭取切身的權利。
電影中所關注勞動工人的尊嚴與自主權,同樣也是程展緯關注之一。堅盧治素來以真切樸實的影像呈現社會底層,而程展緯則以行動藝術,親身進入藍領階級生活,直面迎視他們的處境。兩種藝術形式,同樣介入社會,會有甚麼碰撞?

嘉賓簡介:
程展緯十八歲前是木顏色高手(全班數一數二),篆刻都唔錯。二十六歲前跟陳老師學習混合媒介創作,當年混
合媒介在媒介分類中就是「其他」。三十歲前曾當四年級班主任,主教美勞兼教常識,三十歲後才學會游水和
踏單車,但還未懂中文打字就結婚了,算是一生的成就。四十歲前關心社會的公共空間和探討禮物經濟發展,希望在活生生的社會中回收活生生的藝術再學習。四十歲後專注個人職業發展,立志成為黃馬褂。
Luke Ching was a top-notch colour pencil artist in his pre-university years. He was among the best in class at school, and he wasn’t too bad at seal carving either. In university Ching trained in the field of mixed media under the tutelage of Professor Chan. At the time mixed media still belonged to the category ‘Others’ when one specified the medium of one’s work. Up till the age of 30 Ching worked as a class teacher of Grade 4 students and taught art and general studies.
After turning 30 Ching not only learned to swim and cycle but also managed to get married (even before he was able to type in Chinese) – a feat he considers as his lifetime achievement. In his 30’s Ching took an interest in public space and the development of gift economy, searching for artistic inspiration from within the breath and pulse of society. After turning 40 Ching began focusing on his career, and his current life ambition is to become his boss’s pet.
